Experience
Salomé has over 30 years of professional experience, combining a background in EU and competition law with extensive senior management experience in the agri-food sector.
For more than ten years, Salomé has held senior management positions at one of the leading companies in the agri-food sector, where she was involved in defining and implementing its strategy in a highly regulated environment undergoing significant economic and regulatory change. She has extensive experience engaging with public authorities, regulators, industry associations and other stakeholders, as well as dealing with agri-food regulation, sustainability and innovation.
Earlier in her career, Salomé practised as a competition lawyer at an international law firm, focusing on merger control and proceedings before Spanish and EU competition authorities. She subsequently served as compliance officer for several European markets of a multinational group and as secretary to a number of boards of directors.
She combines her professional activity with teaching as a guest lecturer on several academic programmes, covering competition law, EU law and economic regulation.

Law and Economics degrees from the University of Deusto. Master of European Law (LL.M.) from the College of Europe, Bruges.
