Experience

Pedro has been advising on competition law and economic regulation for 25 years. He is one of the leading lawyers in this field in Spain, according to the Chambers and Partners and Legal 500 directories. He has advised clients in relation to administrative proceedings, civil and administrative litigation, internal investigations and compliance programmes, corporate transactions and commercial contracts. He has been a pioneer in Spain in civil litigation arising from competition law infringements and is an authoritative voice in regulated sectors such as the circular economy or the agri-food sector. Prior to founding rēgula, Pedro was head of the competition law and commercial contracts department of one of the country's leading law firms, as well as a member of its management committee.

Academic background

A graduate in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid, Pedro completed postgraduate studies at the College of Europe (Certificate in Advanced European Legal Studies) and at Columbia University (Master of Laws). Pedro is a Fulbright Scholar.
